Nothing that I aware of. You should call them.
Have been frequently going there for three years and love it. Yes, it can be crowned but it isn't terribly loud since most people are working. The food is excellent and so are the teas and Lattes. I don't drink coffee and can't comment. Baristas are always friendly and I love the garden on warn days. Overall its a great place to visit and hang out.
Overall, yes, it is a great place to work. The tables are a bit small (hard for two people to work with laptops open at the same time ) but there's free WiFi and a good quiet atmosphere.
Lively place, vibrant atmosphere, great staff, some quirky humor, a perfect place to start the day with a coffee made with skill.
Such a nice cozy cafe with an amazing back patio and situated on a block surrounded by other little gems. I spent the whole day here working inside and outside, met a number of interesting people and got a fair bit done too. Definitely putting it on my list of regular coffee shops for Harlem and NYC in general.
Nice hole-in-the-wall. The staff is really nice and I recommend the toast (avocado or banana). Plenty of seating
I can’t forget the flavor of avocado toast... I tried to make it in my house I couldn’t make a delicious one. I love this food... Space is cozy but not big. it was little big crowded already in the morning. But it means that this place is popular!
This place is EXCELLENT. best cup of hot chocolate I have ever had, made with pure Love by Omar. Me and my friend were swooning over the service and genuine conversation he provided. Will definitely be back oh, and I don't even live in Harlem! 💜
I like the coffee here. The shop has a beautiful rustic vibe and a small outdoor patio area in the back. Definitely a nice place for a short meeting or some light reading. The only thing is that it's underground. I don't know about you, but I like windows while I'm spending the day inside.
I'm staying in the area for a few weeks to dog sit. I'm a remote worker and don't always like to work at home. Happy that they have oat milk and their lattes are pretty good. The prices are pretty steep, especially for the food, which is why I took off a star. The ambiance is chill with music ranging from The Backstreet Boys to Billie Eilish. Enough plugs that I haven't been out of reach of one yet. There is also a cute little area out back you can sit. I also liked that I could have a phone call in here and not get nasty stares. Good place to get work done and have a satisfying cup of coffee.
Great iced coffee. Nice décor, clean & friendly staff.
With the rumble of the 1 train beneath your feet, this shop offers delicious coffee, wifi, and plentiful seating. The load balancing on the wifi could be better and outlets aren't as plentiful (original walls + some exposed brick). But the atmosphere is great and the staff are friendly.
Cozy underground cafe with good vibes and a nice atmosphere. They've got a good amount of tables and wifi and attract the student/laptop working crowd. Great spot to work for a bit. Only downside was the oat milk cortado was horrible. I don't think the person making it knew how to deal with the oat milk. it was completely separated from the espresso shot, curdled and weird. I've had a ton of oat milk cortados and that's definitely not normal. Anyway I'd go back and try an iced tea or coffee but not an espresso drink from here. I love the space otherwise and the people were super nice!
Secretive lil gem of a coffee shop, it's such a hole in the wall and easy to miss sort of place but it's like finding a crystal in a mound of coal. The most aromatic coconut tea I've ever sipped. You will certainly notice that they put a lot of care when preparing your food for you. Over all relaxed living room sort of ambiance with cozy decor+lighting. LOVE the secret outdoor hangout in the back! It feels like discovering an inclusive party.
I just recently moved into the area and chipped cup has already become a regular place for my roommates and I! Their coffee is incredible and I can’t get enough of their bagels! The staff is always very welcoming and kind. One of my favorite spots!
They're currently open 8-4 during "COVID-19 times" (as of 6/20/20) - I'm sure they may expand their hours soon.
A lot of charm and character in a tiny space. Really nice spot for a bit of work/hangout time. Specially if you'd like to reminisce on college years while having a warm drink. A bit too cluttered/loud for more than 30 mins of work. Really nice staff.
Their coffee is high quality and delicious. Plenty of seating inside and out back. They have the cutest courtyard. WiFi is fast. I haven't had all of their food options, but their muffins and turnovers are always good. It's a nice vibe for working and hanging out. Good music and decor too.
This place is a hidden gem. We just randomly chose a coffee shop nearby on google to get coffee after our red eye flight, and we hit the jackpot! Great coffee and delicious pastries!
This is a really lovely cafe with kind employees. The back garden is a nice space to sit and read and work while indoor dining is still closed. The prices seemed a little high but it was delicious and still a great place to spend time.
Love this place. Very cozy great coffee. And they have an outdoor seating area that's so nice you forget where you are.
Great place, great people , great food and great coffee. Bagels are fresh everyday. Scallion cream cheese is the bomb. Small business we should all support.
Great spot for coffee and espresso drinks with a space you can work.Interesting and fun decor nestled in the downstairs location, the friendly staff makes this place a great one to visit or stay and get stuff down.
Super cute and they introduced me to oat milk which is just AMAZING!
I was here for breakfast. Coffee and a very good toast in a nice environment. Recommend if you are nearby.
If you're looking for a coffee shop with a great culture surrounding it this is the one for you. Really great staff. Great coffee. And an awesome selection of pastries and toasts. They also use their space for music events, readings, drag shows, etc. It gets a bit crowded, but that's normal for a place with a vibe this good.
Perfect spot to get away and focus on your work. Helpful service, delicious tea options
Looks like no more snarky employees! This place is back to awesome. 😊
Cute and surprisingly one of the most spacious coffee shops I've found on the island. Good brews and good times.
It's like a secret garden in UW. Get a sit outside, grab your choice of tea or coffee, and enjoy your study routine...
The Chipped Cup is a very nice cafe in this part of Manhattan. The latte was good, but the back outside seating is even better. They have a surprisingly large outdoor seating area and it’s very pleasant to sit back there. Service was friendly and efficient as well. Recommended!
Such a fun place to discover and superb coffee and service.
👍Pros: Friendly staff, beautiful garden in the back, the iced white moca, nice variety of coffee and non coffee items, and your choice of indoor or outdoor seating.👎Cons: Although there was a small "food" menu, the dessert window at the counter was lackluster showcasing 3 small brownies so not many sweet options to accompany my white moca.
Absolutely amazing backyard. Delicious avocado toast.
Coffee was great here. Ordered a flat white and they did a wonderful job. It’s also very quaint. It’s in a basement that is well decorated. It’s an old building and they did it justice. They also have a backyard with plenty of chairs and seats. They have treats and food. The staff is friendly and the prices are average. I do recommend this.
Don't you ever crave a salad on your chicken salad? Or maybe that's the reason it's called chicken salad in the first place and most places never got the memo. Do you like coffee? Do you like pretending you know coffee so ordering things that you don't know what they are and then you get a drink you don't like? Then this is the place for you. Go there, have a quiche, order a drink you understand or at least ask a question about it, pop open your laptop, and write that screenplay that you'll never actually finish
It was an amazing experience, the atmosphere was cozy and the staff very friendly, the capuchino was very tasteful and very strong just the way I like it. The Barista greeted the customers by their name and that’s very impressive. If you ever comes to the upper Manhattan pass by The Chipped Cup and enjoy a cup of coffee.
The Americanos we had were good. Nice sharpness in the aftertaste. I fear if these were espresso shots the coffee taste may have been too sharp with little complexity. May I suggest a more well rounded bean variety.
The gentleman at the register was very warm and inviting. Nice atmosphere as well.
Very cute atmosphere, nice back garden area, delicious drinks and food.
Beautiful little cafe. Exactly what I was looking for. Cappuccino was delicious, as was the quiche. No pets, unfortunately. Not their fault, just FYI
I love hanging out at the Chipped Cup in the beautiful garden during warm, sunny days or inside on rainy, cold days. The baristas are all very friendly and sweet.Beverages and the food are yummy.Always a great day at the Chipped Cup!P.S. free WiFi :)
ordered their banana toast and chicken salad toast. it was pretty good. always love their coffee but yesterday they didn't put enough chocolate in the iced oat mocha. I will still go there.
